Southern & Western Parts of Pakistan Trip

The Confluence of Civilizations is a 23-day trip that takes you on an incredible journey through the southern and western regions of Pakistan, starting from the cultural capital of Lahore. This trip encompasses a vast range of historical, cultural, and natural wonders, allowing you to experience the rich and diverse heritage of this land.

The first stop on this journey is the ancient city of Harappa, where you can explore the well-preserved ruins of the Indus Valley Civilization that flourished here over 5000 years ago. From there, you’ll travel to Multan, known as the “City of Sufis” due to its spiritual heritage, where you can visit the famous shrines and mosques, witness the colorful truck art, and shop for exquisite handicrafts.

Next up is Bhawalpur, where you can visit the stunning Cholistan Fort, known for its intricate architecture and rich history. You can also explore the nearby Derawar Fort, which stands as a testament to the region’s cultural and architectural heritage.

From Bhawalpur, you’ll travel to Sukkur, where you can enjoy a leisurely boat ride on the mighty Indus River. You’ll also visit Uch Sharif, home to the magnificent Uch Sharif Mosque, a stunning example of Islamic architecture.

The journey continues to Larkana, where you can visit the ancient Kot Deji Fort, an important site of the Indus Valley Civilization. From there, you’ll head to Hyderabad, a city rich in history and culture, where you can explore the stunning Faiz Mahal and the nearby tombs of Talpur rulers.

The next stop is the world-renowned Mohenjo Daro, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the most important archaeological sites in the world. Here, you can marvel at the well-preserved ruins of the Indus Valley Civilization and learn about their way of life.

The journey then takes you to the charming town of Sehwan, home to the beautiful shrine of Lal Shahbaz Qalandar. From there, you’ll travel to the vibrant city of Karachi, where you can explore the bustling bazaars, visit the National Museum of Pakistan, and enjoy the beautiful beaches.

Next up is Thatta, an ancient city that was once a center of culture and learning. Here, you can explore the stunning Makli Necropolis, a vast cemetery that contains some of the most intricate and beautiful tombs in the world.

From Karachi, you’ll fly back to Islamabad and drive to Peshawar via the historic GT Road. Along the way, you’ll visit Swat and Takht Bahi, home to some of the most beautiful Buddhist monasteries in the world. You’ll also explore Gherat, Chitral, and Bamborat Kalash, where you can experience the unique culture and traditions of the Kalash people.

You’ll also visit the Chitral Gol National Park, home to a diverse range of wildlife, and take an excursion to the beautiful Garam Chashma hot springs. From there, you’ll travel to Mastuj and then to Phander Gupis, where you can enjoy the breathtaking beauty of the Shandoor Pass.

The final stop on this incredible journey is Gilgit, a city surrounded by stunning mountains and valleys. Here, you can explore the local bazaars, visit the ancient Kargah Buddha, and enjoy the stunning scenery. You’ll then fly back to Islamabad and depart, with memories of an unforgettable trip that showcases the confluence of civilizations in Pakistan.

  • Transportation from arrival at Lahore to departure at Islamabad with following settings. Transport at Islamabad and road transfers, for group size 4-5 members, Toyota air-condition van (hi-ace) and for group size 6 +T/L and above will be Toyota air-condition Mini Bus (Toyota Coaster. Transport in the North by 4 x4 Air -conditioned land cruiser (Toyota Land cruiser-Prado TX and TZ, 3 Passengers each vehicle.
  • For group size 1-2 there will be 4X4 land cruiser TZ or Toyota Grand cabin van throughout the trip
  • Accommodation: As specified in the cost for each town. Best available Hotels in town, on double (sharing) occupancy basis.
  • Domestic airfare as per itinerary plus road transfers in case of flight cancelation.
  • Meals: American Breakfast – Lunch- Dinner- One (short break) for tea/coffee between 10 -11 AM and evening Tea/ coffee break between 4-5 PM. Mineral water (Nestle or Aqua Fina )during Lunch and Dinner time.
  • Mineral water as specified above all daylong including for rooms and all day during the site seeing or travel on the road.
  • A picnic box will be carried during the long travel days, with enough snacks , dry fruits, nuts, soft drinks and mineral water.
  • Camping at Chitral Gol National Park
  • All entry fees to Museums, forts and National Park Areas or any tool taxes, and any other applicable taxes on any service.
  • Service of Gov’t licensed, experienced and English speaking guides drivers, any porters needed, any support staff, during the trip.
  • Gratitude at hotels, restaurants and at other places during the trip
  • Cost for Covid -19 PCR tests and other required documentation for return journey
