This 18-day tour of Pakistan takes travelers on a journey through the country’s rich history and culture. The tour begins in Islamabad, where you’ll have a free day to explore the city and relax at the Roomy Hotel. The next day, you’ll embark on a city tour that includes a visit to the Heritage Museum and a drive past government buildings before arriving at Faisal Mosque. In the evening, enjoy dinner at one of the most elegant restaurants before returning to the hotel.
The following day, you’ll leave the city and travel to Taxila, one of the sub-continent’s most important archaeological treasures. Explore the remains of three great cities and dozens of Buddhist monasteries dating back to 600 BCE to AD 600. Visit the Taxila Museum to see some of the finest examples of Gandharan sculptures and art, as well as other important artifacts and discoveries about ancient civilizations.
After lunch, continue the drive to Mansehra and check in at the Hotel One for dinner and overnight. The next day, drive to Behsam, also known as Besham Qala, the largest town and commercial center in the Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa province of Pakistan. Stop for lunch at Rakaposhi viewpoint before continuing the drive to Gilgit, where you’ll check in at the Serena Hotel.
The next day, drive to Hunza, making stops at various historical monuments, including a newly restored monument related to the recent history of the Gilgit Baltistan region, Chinar Bagh, Karga Budha, and George Heyward Grave. Visit the Gilgit Bazar before arriving at the Serena Hotel Hunza for check-in, dinner, and overnight.
Explore the Hunza valley the following day with a visit to Baltit Fort, a UNESCO World Heritage tentative site since 2004. Visit the local handicraft center by Karakoram Area Development Organization and have lunch at a local restaurant to experience traditional cuisine and the warmth of the people. Visit Karimabad Bazaar for some free time before returning to Serena Garden for a BBQ dinner (weather permitting) and overnight stay.
The following day, visit a small, centuries-old settlement with old Wooden Mosques and a small Watchtower, which Aga Khan Trust for Culture has restored. Visit Haldekish sacred rock carving and pictograms and enjoy an excursion to Hopper in Nager Valley before returning to Karimabad and continuing to Duikar for a sunset and mountain panorama. Check-in at Hunza Eagles Nest Hotel Duikar for dinner and overnight.
On day eight, embark on an excursion to Khunjerab Pass, boarding with China, before returning to the hotel. The next day, enjoy a free day at leisure in Hunza, exploring the area on your own. On day 12, drive to Skardu and check-in at Shangrila Resort for dinner and overnight.
The next day, visit Kachura Lake and Shangrila Resort, also known as the “Heaven on Earth.” Take a boat ride on the lake before having lunch at the resort. Visit the nearby Upper Kachura Lake before returning to the hotel for dinner and overnight.
Following the former, leave Skardu and drive to Chilas, making stops at the Nanga Parbat viewpoint and the junction point of three mountain ranges. Check-in at the Panorama Hotel for dinner and overnight. The following day, drive to Besham and check in at the PTDC Motel for dinner and overnight.
The next day, continue the drive to Islamabad, making stops at different viewpoints for photos and lunch. Check-in at the Roomy Hotel for dinner and overnight. Day 01: Islamabad
Upon arrival at Islamabad, meet at the airport and transfer to Hotel.

Day 02: Islamabad
Enjoy a free morning at leisure, then head for a city tour and Lunch, starting with a visit to the Heritage Museum, also known as Lok Virsa Museum. Gather for a drink in a suitable place and have a brief discussion, then head for dinner at one of the most elegant restaurants before returning to the Roomy Hotel for overnight.
Day 03: Masehra
Travel to Mansehra from Islamabad via Taxila
Day 04: Gilgit
Drive from Mansehra via Besham to Gilgit
Day 05: Hunza
Stroll around the Gilgit city and explore Kargah Budah, Chinar Bagh, George Heyward Grave, Gilgit Bazar and Chinese graveyard. Afterwards drive towards Hunza via Nagar valley with some stops along the majestic Rakaposhi and other viewpoints.
Day 06: Hunza
Visit Baltit Fort, Altit Fort, Lunch at a local restaurant and free time for roaming around Karimabad Bazzar.
Day 07: Hunza-Nagar
Visit Ganish settlements, Haldiekish Sacred roack and pictograms and enjoy an excursion to Hopar valley.
Day 08: Hunza
head for an excursion to Khunjerab Pass, boarding with China, and then continue the drive to Passu, enjoying the landscape, having photo opportunities, and enjoy the beautiful scenery that is changing so dramatically.
Day 09: Hunza-Gilgit
Visit Hussaini Suspension Bridge, enjoy the turquoise Attabad Lake and head towards Gilgit
Day 10: Gilgit-Skardu
Drive to Baltistan and enjoy the beautiful view of Nanga Barbat, above 8000 meters, before entering the narrow Indus Gorge. After Lunch, have an excursion to upper Kachura Lake
Day 11: Skardu-Khapulu
Stroll through Skardu Bazar and visit K2 Museum and drive towards Khapulu Fort.
Day 12: Khapulu
Excursion to Machulu, enroute enjoy majestic Mashabrum towering above Hushe Valley. Visit Khapulu Fort Museum in the afternoon.
Day 13: Khapulu -Shigar
While driving towards Shigar, visit the oldest Mosque of Khapulu “Chaqchan Mosque 1370 A.D.”
After lunch, visit Shigar Fort, Amboriq Mosque and Khilingrong Mosque
Continue to Gilgit. O/N at Serena Hotel Gilgit
Day 14: Shigar
Begin the day with an excursion of the Shigar Valley along the Baraldo River and walk in the beautiful unspoiled villages on the way. Then head to watch a Polo Match where we will taste a bit of history on the polo grounds at Shigar!
Day 15: Shigar-Islamabad-Murree
Transfer to the airport for our flight to Islamabad and upon arrival, begin the drive to Muree Hills and transfer to the Historic Cecil Hotel for check-in then head to visit the famous Mall Road Muree, the historic Churches and other monuments from the colonial time.
Day 16: Murree-Muzaffarabad (Kashmir)
Drive to Muzafarabad, the capital city of Pakistani part of the Kashmir. Head to visit the Muzafarabad fort and Bazar of Muzafarabad, filled with Kashmiri art and crafts and colorful market.
Day 17: Muzaffarabad-Islamabad
Begin the day with a drive to Islamabad through the beautiful valley of Kashmir and Muree Hills. Enjoy a farewell dinner at the most picturesque Monal Restaurant in Margala Hills overlooking Islamabad
Day 18: Departure
